Official fees cheat sheet for common travel forms

Bottom line
Check the government fee before you pay. Current published prices include US$40.62 for an approved US ESTA 1, £20 for a UK ETA 2, CAN$7 for a Canada eTA 3, AUD20 for Australia's ETA app 4, and NZ$17 in the app or NZ$23 online for an NZeTA, usually plus the NZ$100 visitor levy 5. ETIAS will cost €20 when it starts in the last quarter of 2026, but applications are not open yet 16. Several arrival forms are free, including Singapore's SG Arrival Card 11, Taiwan's TWAC 14 and Thailand's TDAC 15.

Americas, UK, Europe and Oceania

  • United States ESTA: US$40.62 if approved, or US$10.62 if denied, from 16 October 2026 1.
  • United Kingdom ETA: £20 2.
  • Canada eTA: CAN$7 3.
  • European Union ETIAS: €20 once applications open. The EU says it is due in the last quarter of 2026, but no applications are being collected yet 16.
  • Australia ETA: AUD20 to use the official app, with no other ETA charge 4.
  • New Zealand NZeTA: NZ$17 in the app or NZ$23 online. The NZ$100 International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy applies to most travellers 5.

Africa and Asia e-visas

  • Kenya eTA: standard processing starts at US$30 6.
  • Egypt tourist e-Visa: US$25 single entry or US$60 multiple entry 7.
  • Vietnam e-Visa: US$25 single entry or US$50 multiple entry 8.
  • Cambodia e-Visa: US$30 for tourist Visa T or US$35 for ordinary Visa E 9.
  • Indonesia Visa on Arrival: IDR500,000 for 30 days 10.
  • South Korea K-ETA: ₩10,000 plus a payment processing charge that is normally about 3% 13.

Free arrival and travel forms

  • Singapore SG Arrival Card: free 11.
  • Japan Visit Japan Web: free and does not ask for credit card information 12.
  • Taiwan Arrival Card: free 14.
  • Thailand Digital Arrival Card: free 15.

Common questions

Is every amount above a visa fee?

No. Some are travel authorisations, app charges, levies or arrival forms. The name and legal effect differ by country.

Why can an NZeTA payment exceed NZ$23?

The NZ$100 visitor levy applies to most travellers requesting an NZeTA 5.

Does Japan Visit Japan Web need a card?

No. Japan's Digital Agency says the service does not ask for credit card information or money 12.

Are free arrival forms the same as visas?

No. Singapore's SG Arrival Card, for example, is not a visa 11.
